International Exchange: Participation in the 60th Anniversary Celebration and Academic Ceremony of West Ukrainian National University

On October 23, 2025, Dean Takamichi Hosoda of Aoyama Business School delivered opening remarks and a congratulatory message online at the Opening Ceremony of the International Scientific and Practical Conference, held as part of the 60th Anniversary Celebration of West Ukrainian National University.

Participation in this memorable event was made possible through the kind invitation of Ms. Oksana Koval, Director of the Educational and Research Center of Communications at West Ukrainian National University. The conference’s central theme this year was “Communication as a Factor of Transparency in Social Interaction: The Era of Digitalization.”

While it is thanks to advancements in digital technology that we can now take part in conferences held in Ukraine even from afar, the ideal situation would be for both sides to visit one another in person. We look forward to the near future when ABS students will have the opportunity to visit Ukraine as part of an international study seminar, and when students from West Ukrainian National University will also be able to visit Tokyo.
