On November 29, Dr Anna-Marie Greenaway from the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM), School of Engineering, University of Cambridge, visited ABS and engaged in a discussion with Dean and Professor Takamichi Hosoda. Associate Professor Yuta Hirose also joined the discussion.
Dr Greenaway recently completed her doctoral studies at the University of Cambridge, earning her PhD with a dissertation titled: “Engineering for Change with Roadmapping. A Framework and Practical Process for Supporting University-Industry Collaborative Innovation on Sustainable Development.” Her research introduces START, a novel analytical approach designed to make university–industry collaborative innovation more effective.
By incorporating the perspectives of “Who” and “Where” into traditional roadmapping methods, START enables practitioners to assess and support the readiness of critical stakeholders undergoing change. Associate Professor Yuta Hirose contributed to validating the practical applicability of this research by supporting workshops and providing insights throughout the process. This visit marks a valuable opportunity to further strengthen research collaboration between ABS and IfM in the fields of sustainable development and collaborative innovation.
