October 28, In the “Strategic Marketing” lecture (taught by Professor Kenichiro Kuroiwa), we welcomed Mr. Tomohei Masuda, President and CEO of Hatch Work Co., Ltd. and an ABS graduate (2016 Evening Course). He delivered a lecture titled “Mastering the Real×Digital Touchpoints: The Practice and Theory of ‘Field-Based Marketing’ Seen in Parking Lot DX - Understanding the Essence of Customer Value Creation from Data and the Field.”
In the first half of the lecture, Mr. Masuda explained the business model and growth process of Hatch Work's flagship monthly parking lot service, “At Parking.”
In the latter half, students were divided into four teams for group work and presentations on utilizing the data accumulated through At Parking. Mr. Masuda provided feedback on the presentations.
Through the lecture and group work, we gained a deep understanding not only of the mechanisms of platform-based businesses but also of the processes involved in establishing a business and its growth trajectory.
