産学連携：株式会社東芝 代表取締役社長 島田太郎氏の訪問
7月23日に、株式会社東芝から代表取締役社長の島田太郎氏がABSを訪問され、細田髙道研究科長と会談と昼食懇談を通して意見交換をいたしました。会談と昼食懇談には黒岩健一郎教授と廣瀬雄大准教授も同席いたしました。
株式会社東芝は、エネルギーシステム、インフラシステム、ビル、リテール&プリンティング、デバイス&ストレージ、デジタル、電池など、モノづくりの知見とデジタルを組み合わせた様々なソリューション事業を通してカーボンニュートラルの実現とレジリエントなインフラづくりを展開している日本を代表する電機メーカーです。
会談では、東芝のマネジメントやリーダーシップ、量子技術の新産業創出、これからの人材育成についてディスカッションすることができました。この度の訪問を機に、講演会を通したABSの在学生・修了生との交流など、今後のABSとの連携が期待されます。
Visit from Toshiba Corporation’s Representative Director Taro Shimada
On July 23, Mr Taro Shimada, Representative Director of Toshiba Corporation, visited ABS. He met with Dean Takamichi Hosoda and participated in a luncheon for a discussion and exchange of ideas. Professor Kenichi Kuroiwa and Associate Professor Yuta Hirose also joined the luncheon and the meeting.
Toshiba Corporation is one of Japan’s leading multinational electronics companies, specialising in innovative solutions across energy systems, infrastructure systems, building technologies, retail and printing, devices and storage, digital technologies and batteries, contributing to carbon neutrality and the development of resilient infrastructure.
Today, we had the opportunity to discuss Toshiba's management and leadership, the creation of new industries through quantum technology, and the development of future-oriented human resources. This visit is expected to serve as a starting point for future collaboration with ABS, including opportunities for interaction with current students and alumni through lectures and other events.
