Visit from Aalto University School of Business

On April 29, Professor Arto Lindblom from Aalto University School of Business, Finland, visited ABS and held a meeting with Dean Takamichi Hosoda to exchange views on education and research. The meeting was also attended by Professor Tsutomu Nakano, Professor Hidetoshi Seki, Associate Professor Mayuko Nishii and Associate Professor Yuta Hirose.

This visit follows previous visits to ABS by Ms Anugya Singh, Director of Partnerships, and Ms Laura Sivula, Director of Academic and International Affairs, both from Aalto University Executive Education. Building on this ongoing exchange, the discussion on this occasion covered not only Professor Lindblom’s areas of expertise and research, but also a wide range of topics relating to the curriculum, educational system and student life at Aalto University School of Business.

In addition, discussions were held regarding a proposed overseas study seminar in Finland. We exchanged valuable ideas on potential lecture themes that leverage Aalto University’s distinctive interdisciplinary approach integrating business, technology and design as well as possible companies and organizations to visit.

This visit was made possible through the introduction of Associate Professor Mayuko Nishii, who is engaged in joint research with Professor Lindblom. We sincerely appreciate the support and cooperation of all those involved which made this exchange highly productive. We look forward to further strengthening the collaboration between ABS and Aalto University and to continued development in both education and research.
