Professor Toshiko Suda's article, "Introduction of Job-Based Personnel Management and its Effects," was published in the June 2026 issue of the "Research Monthly Report," published by the Japan Finance Corporation. The Japan Finance Corporation is a government-affiliated financial institution wholly owned by the government, aiming to implement government policies and promote economic development and stability. The "Research Monthly Report" is a magazine aimed at providing information to small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) managers and other stakeholders who are eligible for the SME business support program, one of the JFC's projects.
Given the high affinity between SMEs, which have a high proportion of mid-career hires, and job-based personnel management, Professor Suda's article, "Introduction of Job-Based Personnel Management and its Effects," was published with the aim of introducing SME stakeholders to the specific details of job-based personnel management, which is rapidly spreading in large corporations, and to the "market pricing-type market pay utilization" that integrates career development and wage determination, which is becoming widespread in Western countries.
