Visit from the Industrial Policy Bureau of the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren)

On July 31, 2026, Aoyama Business School (ABS) had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Koh Nakajima, Director, Ms. Aya Kurokami, Manager, and Mr. Yutaro Yoshida, Assistant Manager, from the Industrial Policy Bureau of the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren). They met with Professor Taka Hosoda, Dean of Aoyama Business School, for a productive exchange of views.

As geopolitical and geoeconomic uncertainties continue to intensify, strengthening supply chain resilience and enhancing industrial competitiveness have become urgent priorities for Japanese industry. At the same time, the risks surrounding supply chains have become increasingly complex, with external disruptions and internal organizational risks interacting in intricate ways.

Against this backdrop, the participants engaged in a wide-ranging discussion on the future direction that Japanese industry should pursue. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to share perspectives from both industry and academia, fostering meaningful dialogue on the challenges and opportunities facing supply chain management and industrial policy.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Mr. Nakajima, Ms. Kurokami, and Mr. Yoshida for taking the time to visit Aoyama Business School. We greatly value the opportunity to exchange ideas and look forward to continued collaboration between academia and industry.
